Meijie Boiler Steam Condensate Recovery Device: Introduction, Working Principle, and Effectiveness
The Meijie steam condensate recovery device is an integrated energy-saving skid-mounted unit developed for steam heating systems in industrial boiler rooms. It is widely used in steam boiler projects in hospitals, food processing, pharmaceuticals, printing and dyeing, chemicals, plant heat exchange stations, etc. It can centrally collect the high-temperature condensate generated after heat exchange by steam-consuming equipment, perform steam-water separation and anti-cavitation pressurization, and deliver high-quality high-temperature condensate back to the boiler soft water tank or boiler feedwater system for recycling. It is a core piece of equipment for boiler energy-saving and water-saving retrofits.
The entire unit has a skid-mounted integrated structure, mainly consisting of a sealed recovery tank (optional 304 stainless steel / Q235 carbon steel with anti-corrosion treatment), built-in steam-water separation assembly, anti-cavitation device, high-temperature resistant condensate pumps (standard configuration: one duty, one standby), magnetic flap level gauge, pressure monitoring instruments, safety valve, drain valve, and PLC fully automatic control cabinet; it can be equipped with multi-loop combiners and pre-filters, compatible with high- and low-pressure multi-loop condensate return conditions, supports local control and remote signal transmission, is easy to install with a small footprint, and can be used in complete sets with Meijie stainless steel water tanks to achieve integrated design of the boiler room feedwater system.
The Meijie condensate recovery device is available in two types: closed recovery units (main product) and simple open recovery tanks. The closed unit operates fully sealed, eliminating direct discharge of secondary steam and solving the pain points of traditional open tanks such as heat loss and oxygen absorption corrosion; the open solution is suitable for small loads, intermittent steam use, and limited budgets, meeting basic condensate collection needs.
The steam generated by the boiler is delivered to heat exchange and production steam-consuming equipment. After releasing heat, it undergoes phase change to form high-temperature condensate, which is delivered to the Meijie condensate recovery device through the steam trap assembly.
Steam-water separation: high-temperature condensate enters the sealed tank, where the tangential inlet structure achieves expansion and steam-water separation. Flash steam is effectively retained in the tank, avoiding direct venting that would cause significant heat energy loss;
Anti-cavitation pressure stabilization: the device has a built-in dedicated anti-cavitation assembly that uses fluid dynamics principles to eliminate pump cavitation problems that easily occur when transporting high-temperature saturated water, ensuring stable delivery of condensate above 100℃ and long-term reliable pump operation;
Automatic level control: the level transmitter in the tank collects water level signals in real time and transmits them to the PLC control system; at high level, the condensate pump starts automatically; at low level, the pump stops automatically. The pump group has one duty and one standby pump with automatic failover, and sound and light alarms for water shortage and overpressure;
Pressurized reuse: in a sealed state, the high-temperature condensate is pressurized by the high-temperature resistant pump and delivered via pipelines to the boiler soft water tank, re-entering the boiler circulation as boiler makeup water.
The entire system is sealed and does not contact the atmosphere, reducing oxygen dissolution and keeping condensate quality clean. For multi-loop return conditions, a multi-loop combiner can be added to balance condensate at different pressures and achieve unified recovery from multiple pipe networks. If the condensate contains oil or impurities, a pre oil-removal filtration unit can be added to purify it before recovery.
Integrated assembly: factory prefabricated and assembled; on site only piping and electrical connections are needed, shortening construction time;
Fully automatic intelligent operation: PLC automatic control, no dedicated personnel required, with fault alarms and standby pump switchover functions;
Material options: 304 stainless steel tank for applications with high water quality requirements; anti-corrosion carbon steel version to control project investment;
