Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Achieves Breakthrough in Solid-State Electrolyte Industrialization

The 100-tonne-scale new materials pilot platform project implemented by the Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. recently passed its final acceptance, marking a major breakthrough in the engineering industrialization of the institute's oxide solid-state electrolyte scientific and technological achievement.

Building on existing scale-up technology, the achievement establishes a 100-tonne-scale continuous pilot platform for oxide solid-state electrolyte, fully upgrading the original batch manual production line to a fully automated continuous line. It connects the entire production process from feeding to finished product packaging and achieves stable continuous operation throughout. The project overcame key technical bottlenecks including material conveying stability and ultra-low magnetic foreign matter control, keeping total magnetic foreign matter stably below 50 ppb and continuous production yield at 100%, with production line stability and product consistency reaching industry-leading levels.

The solid-state electrolyte products produced on this platform demonstrate excellent performance, with room-temperature ionic conductivity reaching above 1.0 mS/cm, and key indicators significantly superior to comparable industry products. The products have passed testing by leading downstream enterprises and entered the manufacturer production line certification stage, showing promising prospects for industrial application.
