PipePatrol NEO Launches AI-Powered Pipeline Monitoring System

The PipePatrol NEO system from KROHNE is a new, comprehensive solution for leak detection, theft detection and pipeline monitoring. At its core is NEPM (Neural Engine Pipeline Monitoring), KROHNE's new generation of continuous in-pipeline monitoring technology.

The system combines artificial intelligence with proven physical models, providing an effective means of addressing the complex risks faced by modern pipelines, including corrosion, equipment failure, third-party interference, illegal theft and environmental impacts. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including oil and gas transmission pipelines, chemical processes, water supply and wastewater networks, as well as district heating and hydrogen infrastructure.

PipePatrol NEO applies NEPM technology — an AI-enhanced multi-method evaluation system that combines advanced hydraulic modeling, statistical pattern recognition, and real-time measurement of flow, pressure and temperature. By continuously comparing a "virtual pipeline" model with actual operating data, the system can detect deviations and analyze them using AI-based pattern recognition.
