Danaher and NVIDIA Join Hands to Advance Self-Driving Science
On October 14, 2026, Danaher Corporation announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to advance autonomous science and accelerate the process of scientific discovery.
As part of Danaher's broader initiative to promote AI-empowered science, the two parties will integrate Danaher's scientific instruments, automation technologies, laboratory workflow software, and expertise with NVIDIA's accelerated computing and artificial intelligence technologies, helping researchers turn predictions into experimental evidence faster and forming a continuous learning loop in which "experiments provide feedback for models, and models help design better experiments."
Artificial intelligence is reshaping the way scientific research is conducted, and Danaher is at the forefront of this transformation. We are collaborating with NVIDIA based on a shared vision to make innovation more interconnected, more adaptive, and more accessible, helping researchers tackle important challenges and ensuring that scientific discovery truly benefits humanity.
Future scientific discovery will increasingly rely on a closed loop of continuous interaction and mutual reinforcement between AI and experiments. Through our collaboration with Danaher, we are bringing accelerated computing and physical AI into the laboratory, connecting models with scientific instruments and real experimental data. In this loop, experiments help improve models, and models in turn help design better experiments, helping researchers shorten discovery processes that once took years to just months.
Danaher and NVIDIA are committed to integrating AI into scientific instruments, including leveraging edge computing technologies such as NVIDIA DGX Spark, RAPIDS-based accelerated analysis and data processing, as well as real-time inference, scientific inference, and foundation model technologies, including the BioNeMo open models.
Initially, the two parties will focus on selected key instruments, with expectations to gradually expand to a broader product portfolio as the collaboration progresses. Meanwhile, the two parties are also exploring the use of scientific AI and physical AI technologies, such as NVIDIA Cosmos world models and Omniverse digital twins, to support more intelligent scientific instruments and laboratory workflows, while always keeping experimental evidence at the core of scientific decision-making.
This collaboration aims to further advance Danaher's practice in "connected science," linking AI, accelerated computing, scientific instruments, workflows, and experimental data to obtain experimental evidence.
Danaher is committed to helping researchers shorten the time from AI-generated predictions to actionable experimental evidence, and to reducing the complexity of this process, while safeguarding customers' choice of models, standards, and technology providers.
