About
Invested, built and operated by CITIC Envirotech through project company CITIC Environment (Shantou) Printing & Dyeing Environmental Development Co., Ltd. Location: Chaonan District, Shantou, Guangdong. The plant is the core environmental infrastructure of the Chaonan textile and dyeing circular-economy park, a PPP project with total investment of RMB 3.229 billion covering 3,750 mu, and a key component of the Lianjiang River clean-up. The plant is designed for 155,000 m³/d (40,000 m³/d in phase one, 115,000 m³/d in phase two) with a 80,000 m³/d water reclamation capacity, using A²/O MBR followed by ozone contact oxidation and activated carbon adsorption. Effluent meets DB44/26-2001 second-period Class I and GB 4287-2012 new-plant limits; about half is reused and the remainder discharged via an outfall. The park began centralised operation on 27 December 2019 with the first 25 dyeing enterprises. Sources: CNR (3 Jan 2020); People's Daily client; dowater.com project record.
