The patented ADI-BVF® reactor (Bulk Volume Fermenter) from ADI Systems, a subsidiary of Suez, is a low-rate anaerobic treatment system that combines upflow sludge bed and anaerobic contact features. It can treat wastewater with medium to very high organic concentrations, typically installed above ground or underground with membrane covers for biogas collection. Case studies show COD removal rates of up to 90%. Its main offerings include the ADI series and AnMBR anaerobic membrane bioreactors; representative models include ADI-BVF®, ADI-Anamet®, ADI-SC®, and ADI-Hybrid.
